For candle burners please make sure that your burner is for wax as some oil burners are not suitable. The way to know the difference is to make sure there is a deep enough well for the wax and a safe distance between the candle and the well of the burner. It’s also recommended to not burn a candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Never leave a candle unnatended and keep out of reach of children and pets.
Electric plate warmers are also great. Some of these have a great sized well for wax and keep at a constant heat which is great.
If using an electric warmer with a bulb, please make sure the bulb is no less than 35w. Our wax is 100% soy, and this is a great temperature for it to start melting.
The great thing about using wax melts is that you can control the power of the scent. Use a little for a more subtle scent or use more for a more powerful scent throw. You choose! Scent throw is always down to the type of burner you use and also the size of the room that you are using it in.
When the scent is gone, the wax will still be there. There are a few different ways to do this. Some burners will allow you to pop the wax out cold or even warming it slightly will allow you to pop the wax out. Another way is to use a couple of cotton pads to soak up the warm wax before you change to a new melt.
